Peas: a thick soup with peas and bacon Ifantis
 

Ingredients for 4 servings

 

Peas 450g. 1 pc.

Onion, chopped ½ pc.

Potatoes moderate crude 1pc.

Bacon Ifantis chopped 4 slices

Cream 100g.

100g butter.

Chicken broth (optional) 1 cube.

Salt

Pepper.

 

 

In a medium saucepan we slowly melt the butter and then saute (fry) slightly onion, potatoes and bacon.

When the vegetables are slightly wilted we’ll add the peas and continue to sauté gia2-3 minutes.

We cover the vegetables with our water (2-3 fingers above the vegetables), add the chicken broth and we boil over medium heat for 25 to 30 minutes.

Once we thoroughly cooked our vegetables, the soup will be a pulp with the help of  a hand blender or straining the liquid of the soup without the fly and vegetables to a pulp simple blender.

We mix the vegetables in the broth and the cream, we add salt and pepper as desired and serve our add chopped dill.

 

 

Tips of the chef:

Depending on the variety of potato may need to thin the soup with a little water.

A few drops of lemon juice will give a different taste in our soup.

Toast 2 slices of toast and create your own croutons for soup.
